Original title: Åtgärder mot fosforläckage från jordbruksmark – dikesfilter och dikesdammar; fas 2

The project ” Ditch dams and filters to trap phosphorus in agriculture” (2009-2013) aimed to bind phosphorus leaching from agricultural soil in ditches close to the original source, thereby reducing the discharge of phosphorus to the sea. The project, which consisted of two phases, has been evaluating three different lime-based filter materials (Polonite, Filtralite P and Hyttsand) on location in the south of Sweden, Poland and the Baltic. The results show that all the tested filter materials separate phosphorus from drain off water, with result variations depending on location. Read the full report by clicking on the link below.
