Fish For the Future have develop an infographic (broschure) which explains the Common Fisheries Policy in five minutes. Important discussions are taking place in the European frontParliament right now and there are divisions between MEPs (Members of the European Parliament) across all national delegations and political groups. But according to FFF it’s actually pretty simple: we must increase the fish stocks so we can fish more tomorrow.


The infographic below, describes the situation of the fishing industry in Europe today, and explains what needs to be done to improve it and secure a healthy fishing industry. Make your voice heard. Share the guide (easy sharing below the image) – and tell your MEP to support Fish For the Future.

BalticSea2020 also work to improve the fisheries policy. Since the foundation started its work in 2006, BalticSea2020 has helped influence EU fisheries legislation and has launched several projects to restore viable stocks of predator fish, focusing on active efforts for the recovery of the Baltic cod population. This year the foundation has an opportunity to be even more influential as the EU is due to decide on a new common fisheries policy early next year.
