Today we celebrate International Water Day, or World Water Day. The day was established by the UN 1992 and has since then been highlighted on March 22 with different themes of water. This year, the theme is water and wastewater.
When the theme was presented by UN Water at the World Water Week in Stockholm last year, particular issues were raised regarding safe management of wastewater as an effective investment of human health and healthy ecosystems. World Water Day is a day where we have the opportunity to highlight water issues a bit more. Last year the theme was water and sustainable development.
